On the evening of November 13th, a series of new machines were officially released, including X100 and X100 Pro models, starting at 3999 yuan. The new machine pursues "perfect image, perfect performance and perfect experience" with a new generation of self-developed image chip V3, a brand-new upgraded image experience, Tianji 9300 chip jointly developed with MTK, and blue heart model with excellent intelligence.

After the meeting, Huang Tao, vice president of vivo products, and Han Boxiao, general manager of vivo X series products, accepted media interviews and answered questions of interest to everyone. Let’s see what they said.

This launch of vivo X100 series is not a simple product launch, and technology brands’s "Blue Technology" of vivo also appeared at the launch. The so-called "Blue Technology", in Huang Tao’s words, "is the cornerstone of the core competitiveness of vivo products and the source of leading product experience", which includes four aspects: Blue Crystal Chip technology stack, Blue Ocean Endurance System, Blue Heart Model and Blue River Operating System.

At present, these four technologies are applied to the new products of this conference. The first three technologies are used in the vivoX100 series, and vivo WATCH 3 is equipped with the Blue River operating system. Among them, the big blue heart model left the deepest impression on me.

• Blue heart model: end-side AI has been switched on.

Blue-core big model, vivo’s self-developed universal big model matrix, vivoX100 series fully covers the core application scenarios through the end-side deployment and cloud service of large parameter AI computing power. Figurative to the product, Huang Tao showed the function of the blue heart small V wisdom assistant to everyone at the press conference. On the vivo X100 series, it can provide excellent semantic search, super question and answer, super writing, super drawing and super intelligent interaction.

When referring to the degree of functional completion, Huang Tao said that the vivo X100 series has a complete end-to-end and cloud model capability, and the end-to-end AI of the X100 series has been fully tuned. In other words, Blue Heart Small V is not just a "try-on", and some of its smart functions can be realized without networking locally.

Of course, at present, it is not the final state of "Blue Heart Small V". vivo will gradually build mobile phone applications, and its functions will become richer and stronger. "The function that is put in now is also the most comprehensive and best that everyone experiences on the mobile phone side."

Because of the end-side deployment of AI, its intelligent function has certain requirements for the hardware of the mobile phone, such as the AI computing power of SoC and at least 8GB of DRAM space. As for whether the future products of vivo will support relevant AI functions, Huang Wei said that vivo is still planning accordingly.

• Blue Crystal Chip technology stack: Definition Makes Chip Play Higher Value.

Technology stack, a blue crystal chip, is also a highlight of this conference. After all, the performance of Tianji 9300 jointly developed by vivo and MediaTek is excellent, and the self-developed video chip V3 has brought excellent 4K movie portrait video experience.

Talking about the joint research and development of vivo and MediaTek, Huang Tao said: "We have always felt that there are three levels of cooperation, the first is the adjustment mentioned in the past, and the second is the research and development and definition. The so-called definition is to do something together from scratch. In fact, two or three years ago, we have been talking about what our chip looks like on X100. This is our so-called definition. "

Han Boxiao also added: "We are open to each other at every track. From the beginning of chip design, there are many things. We ask them to design according to our standards in advance." The advantage of this is that whether it is performance release or functional adaptation, Tianji 9300 can achieve a very high degree of fit with vivo’s mobile phone.

In addition, vivo also has enough confidence in the self-developed image chip V3. When talking about which is stronger or weaker than 15 Pro video shooting, Huang Tao said frankly: "If it is a normal scene video shooting, we can probably achieve 80% or 90% of Apple’s, mainly due to some problems caused by power consumption", but with the blessing of the self-developed video chip V3, "In the 4K portrait video scene, we will definitely surpass it, which is certain". • Blue Ocean Endurance System: Lightness and thinness are in the same place, and we will continue to focus on it in the future

I also have other alternatives, but I just choose which one is the best for our product, regardless of cost and space, which one is the best choice."

In this regard, Huang Tao also added: "What we want is what is the most important focal length when users take pictures", and how to measure the user’s demand for focal length. This year, the telephoto of vivo X100 series is a highlight, because vivo has customized higher standards than the industry to pursue better results. "From the very beginning, we set up the lens structure design, selection and chip customization," said Han Boxiao.

Based on excellent telephoto images, vivo X100 series also has a fist function, that is, "telephoto hanging sun", which can help users easily shoot a round of perfect and warm red sun. "This is a typical process from consumer demand insight to final technology development and key implementation."

Han Boxiao explained this in detail.
