In fact, the final score of a player is subject to a calculation link-weight.
The total score of a player is often calculated by combining the online voting score, the on-site audience voting score and the expert score. Then the "weight" in this "weighted average" refers to the weight.
In order to better evaluate the players’ real level, when calculating, first give the different proportions of these three parts, such as online voting score of 20%, on-site audience voting score of 50% and expert rating of 30%, then the total score of players = online voting score *0.2+ on-site audience voting score *0.5+ expert rating *0.3. The proportion of these calculations is what we often call weight.
Weight refers to the importance of a factor or index relative to something, and its essence is the influence of the proportion of units in each group to the total on the average. However, it is different from the general proportion, which not only reflects the percentage of a certain factor or index, but also emphasizes the relative importance of the factor or index and tends to contribute or be important. Just like online voting in the draft, the impact on the total score is very limited.
In the statistics published by us, we can often see the figure of weight, such as the CPI index that everyone is generally concerned about. The price changes of products with different weights have different effects on the overall index.
