A high-level dialogue between the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the world’s political parties was successfully held in Beijing a few days ago. General Secretary of the Supreme Leader attended the conference and delivered a keynote speech, once again comprehensively expounding the concept of a community of human destiny, calling on people to conform to the development trend of the times, and Qi Xin should work together to meet challenges and carry out global cooperation, so as to create favorable conditions for building a community of human destiny and jointly create a brighter future for mankind. This initiative has won wide recognition from the representatives of Chinese and foreign political parties attending the meeting and attracted great attention from the international community.
Inject humanistic feelings into modernization
Modernization is a multi-level and all-round social transformation process. The western humanistic tradition is characterized by emphasizing individual value, which brings about some disadvantages while bringing modernization glory. On the one hand, the material and spiritual wealth of society has been greatly improved; On the other hand, the disparity between the rich and the poor, moral decline, conflicts of interest, ecological hazards and other issues have also emerged endlessly and intensified. The idea of building a community of human destiny put forward by China is to pay attention to the large-scale changes in society, economy and thought, and to explore the grand narrative based on the dynamics of human evolution and deep structure as a whole, which provides a solution to these problems.
In his keynote speech, General Secretary of the Supreme Leader proposed that we should strive to build a world free from fear and universal security, a world free from poverty and common prosperity, a world free from closure, openness and tolerance, a beautiful, clean and beautiful world. The "Four Worlds" initiative is comprehensive, profound and complementary, which fundamentally establishes the development direction of modernization and embodies the humanistic spirit of caring for the future destiny of mankind from the height of the times.
This is due to the profound historical connotation and theoretical basis of the concept of the community of human destiny. Brzezinski, a famous American thinker, looked forward to the development of China culture in the future "world system". In his view, China is "the only country with a truly unique civilization" in the world. Closely related to this inherent spiritual resource, China will not only become an economic power in the world, second only to the United States, but also be expected to have extensive influence and even demonstration in moral and cultural spirit on a global scale.
China’s 5,000-year-old civilization is rich in cultural wealth. Since ancient times, it has treated the development of human civilization with the concept of "harmony but difference". In the process of development and evolution, China civilization gives full play to the intrinsic value of China civilization, constantly draws nutrients from tradition, and at the same time draws lessons from the successful experience of other civilizations, constantly absorbs and integrates the excellent elements of other cultural systems, adding new vitality to it. Since the reform and opening up, China has advocated "attaching importance to spiritual civilization", "paying attention to ultimate pursuit", "insisting on rationality and opposing blind obedience", which is a comprehensive innovation of western humanism and China humanistic tradition, and counteracts the disadvantages of "materialistic cross-flow", "moral decline" and "cultural anomie". This has helped to overcome the obstacles in progress, break through the predicament of the development of modern social civilization and realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. It has also become the basis and theoretical basis for building a community of human destiny and provided a Chinese solution for solving the modernization problem.
Promote economic globalization and be inclusive.
"The trend of the world is vast. If you follow it, you will prosper, and if you go against it, you will die." Western-led economic globalization is a double-edged sword, which not only accelerates the development and prosperity of the world economy, but also intensifies the imbalance of interests in global competition, and its disadvantages are constantly highlighted. With the in-depth development of economic globalization, there are more and more common interests of all countries. Coupled with the difficulties in developed countries and the mass rise of emerging market countries and developing countries, the old model of economic globalization is becoming more and more out of date, and the reform of global governance system has ushered in a historic turning point. In his speech at the Davos Forum at the beginning of this year, the Chairman of the Supreme Leader pointed out that we should take the initiative and manage appropriately, so as to release more positive effects of economic globalization and achieve rebalancing in the process of economic globalization. We should conform to the general trend, combine the national conditions and correctly choose the path and rhythm of integrating into economic globalization; We should stress efficiency and fairness, so that different countries, different classes and different people can share the benefits of economic globalization. China also put forward the concept of global governance of "co-operation, co-construction and sharing" and sought to build a community of human destiny, which will not only help China to better participate in the world economy in the future, but also conform to the development trend of economic globalization.
The purpose of development is to benefit the people. Since the 21st century, it is difficult to meet people’s expectations for a better life due to the contradiction of unequal and unbalanced global development. Improving the balance, fairness and inclusiveness of global development is the only way to improve the realistic living situation of human beings. The idea of "cooperation", "win-win" and "universal benefit" contained in the community of human destiny is exactly the internationally recognized concept. Building a community of human destiny fully reflects an open and enterprising China’s self-orientation, which closely links its own destiny and future with that of the world. At present, world development is facing various problems and challenges, and various social and political trends of thought are in fierce confrontation. In this context, China responded to the common demands of the international community, accurately grasped the historical changes in the relationship between China and the world, and put forward the important idea of building a community of human destiny.
Today’s world is complicated, and the fate of mankind is shared. As a cause that benefits all mankind, building a community of human destiny is the common mission of people all over the world. China is not only an advocate of the concept of the community of human destiny, but also a practitioner of this concept. "The trip to the avenue, the world is public." The Chairman of the Supreme Leader pointed out that despite all the differences and contradictions in the world, it is inevitable that there will be bumps and bumps, but people all over the world live under the same blue sky and have the same home, so they should be a family. People all over the world should uphold the concept of "one family under heaven", open their arms, understand each other, seek common ground while reserving differences and work together to build a community of human destiny. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the "One Belt, One Road" initiative put forward by the CPC Central Committee with the Supreme Leader as the core has fully embodied this concept, provided a new path for solving the worldwide "human dilemma" and global governance reform, played a positive role in promoting the formation of a more just and rational international order and helped to build a better world.
For this reason, the community of human destiny has aroused widespread resonance in the international community, and has become a link and bridge between the people of China and the people of other countries and regions in the world. Julio, director of the Spanish China Policy Observatory, who was invited to attend the dialogue, said that the concept of a community of human destiny is an important contribution of China’s wisdom, and it will also be a topic of concern for political parties in various countries in the future. Said Chowdhury, director of the Islamabad International Affairs Council of Pakistan, pointed out that the solution of many international problems requires the process of globalization, and the concept of community of human destiny put forward by the Supreme Leader Chairman is the most accurate and suitable annotation to globalization.
Holding high the clear banner of "building a community of human destiny", China is taking on an unprecedented mission, standing at the moral high ground of world history, and pointing out the correct direction for the development of the world and the future of mankind.
