On the afternoon of February 28th, the "2024 Hami Village Animal Epidemic Prevention Capacity Improvement Training Course" sponsored by the Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Municipal Center for Animal Disease Prevention and Control officially started in Yizhou No.2 Technical School. Village-level epidemic prevention officers and veterinary socialized service organizations in various towns and villages of Hami City are employed.
A total of 147 epidemic prevention officers and personnel from animal epidemic control institutions at city, district and county levels participated in the training.
This training specially invited three teachers from the Veterinary Research Institute of the Autonomous Region Academy of Animal Husbandry to give lectures. After the opening ceremony, Xia Jun, deputy director and researcher of Veterinary Research Institute of Xinjiang Academy of Animal Husbandry, gave a special lecture on "Prevention and Treatment of Common Animal Diseases". During the five-day closed training, the training course will be conducted through the mode of "comprehensive knowledge+professional knowledge+business practice". The training includes national laws and regulations, compulsory immunization and prevention and control of major animal diseases, diagnosis and prevention of common diseases, veterinary biosafety and veterinary information construction. The purpose of this training is to enable grass-roots epidemic prevention personnel to accurately master animal immunization and sampling techniques, skillfully use animal intelligent epidemic prevention platforms and quarantine systems, effectively diagnose and prevent major animal diseases and common diseases, effectively promote farmers and herdsmen to increase their income and get rich, and help rural revitalization.
Ma Chunjiang, director of Hami Animal Disease Prevention and Control Center, said: "Our animal disease prevention and control work this year should focus on the following four key tasks. One is to carry out compulsory immunization for major animal diseases in spring and autumn, effectively build an immune barrier for animal disease prevention and control, and ensure that no major animal diseases occur.
